Breaking the Band crew, camera and lighting services
Tomorrow’s Creative provided Director of Photography services plus a camera and lighting package for Breaking the Band, a music documentary series produced by Potato for REELZ.
The series explores the rise and fall of some of the world’s best-known bands, examining the relationships, creative pressures and personal conflicts that shaped each group’s history.
James Melrose received cinematography credits across 12 episodes released in 2021. Working as Director of Photography, he created polished images for contributor interviews and dramatic reconstructions while helping the new photography complement the archive material.
Tomorrow’s Creative also supplied a Sony FS7 and Sony A7 II camera kit together with a lighting package. Controlled lighting, considered compositions and purposeful camera movement gave the episodes a consistent visual identity across interviews and reconstructed scenes.
