Ambulance Shooting Producer Director services
Tomorrow’s Creative provided Shooting Producer Director services for Series 9 and 10 of Ambulance, the BAFTA-winning observational documentary series produced by Dragonfly Film and Television for BBC One.
Filming with the North East Ambulance Service during 2022, James Melrose followed frontline ambulance crews, control-room teams and patients through demanding shifts that developed in real time.
The self-shooting role combined editorial judgement with confident handheld camerawork and location sound recording. Working independently with a Sony FX9 required quick decisions, reliable technical preparation and a sensitive approach to contributors, consent and privacy.
James is credited under “Filmed By” across five episodes broadcast during 2022 and 2023. On the production, his working role was Shooting Producer Director.
